EN 1.4028 Round Bar is a chromium-based martensitic stainless steel containing approximately 13% chromium. The alloy is designed to provide an excellent combination of hardness, wear resistance, mechanical strength and moderate corrosion resistance. It is widely known under the European designation EN 1.4028 and material grade X30Cr13.

This stainless steel grade can be hardened through heat treatment, allowing it to achieve significantly higher hardness levels than austenitic stainless steel grades such as 304 and 316.
